Hi, John,
The problem comes from the first line in Back.dat:
...
0 FILE Back.dat
0 Untitled
0 Name: Back.dat
0 Author: MLCad
0 Unofficial Model
1 0 -40 0 10 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 Cargo
1 0 350 0 -10 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 3031.DAT
1 0 340 -8 20 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 3024.DAT
...

In MLCad, since this was called "Cargo" instead of "Cargo Bay.dat", it
wouldn't show up. Interestingly, MLCad turned "Cargo Bay.dat" in the model
Whole.dat, into "Cargo", and the cargo bay wasn't visible when viewing
Whole.dat! The renderers must have been able to translate "Cargo" into
"Cargo Bay.dat" somehow.

So anyway, you just have to delete that line in Back.dat.

Cheers,
--Ryan

(...) Thanks... Actually, I had 'cargo' as seperat model, and when I decided to turn the dat into a MPD, I just copyed the needed parts to a submodel. I guess 'cargo.dat' snaked itself into the back.dat. Thanks! John Kruer (23 years ago, 16-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)
