normally break. I take a pair of wire-cutting pliers and cut the two
pieces apart, the smooth them out with an exacto knife(sorry purists but
it is a handy little piece and you get an extra 1x1 plate:) ). It isn't
purfect but it serves the purpose.


Ah, a fellow "home builder".  I haven't looked at your element yet, but I
shall.  I can imagine it is very useful.
