Well, as far as chains, I don't know. But for wires, flex axels, hoses and the like the "segments" of the parts are in the LDraw library. The best way, in my opinion, to create flexible segments in a model is to use Frederick Glockner's LDraw-Mode (...) (23 years ago, 19-May-01, to lugnet.cad)

(...) You can download "emacs-20.7-fullbin-...86.tar.gz" or "emacs-20.7-bin-i386.tar.gz". The latter will take up less space, but does not include the full Lisp source, only the precompiled Lisp files. The .tar.gz files should be uncompressable with (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.cad)
