Hello!

OK.. just need a short help/hint.

I've set up today the MLCad-l3p-povRay combination and it works fine • except
for one thing. When I render a minifig with a helmet the helmet looks
crappy.
That means you see the rendering lines of the helmet like faucets. It is • not
round as seen in MLCad or I have seen in other renderings. WHat i have • to do
to make it round?

The helmet part file is made without circle-based primitives, so L3P can't
substitute a truly rounded surface, but has to use the constituent facets.

The only (current) way I know of to get a rounded helmet with ray-tracing
is to use the L3GO library, which has a helmet modeled with rounded
surfaces.

What is the part number of the helmet you are using. I would like to do some experiments. -Chuck (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad)
