YES!! I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM I don't see any .bmps in the
folder.  I do see some .pov.baks.  I'm using POV-Ray

Hmm how fast did you do the installation?:) Sometime during installation
you were asked if you wanted to create a directory for renderings (or
something similar, it's been quite a while since I last installed it),
well ... you can find the bmp's there. If you don't remember that part,
here's a simple solution:

Find a pov-file and rename that file to something that you know is unique
on your entire systems (say, "plit.pov").
Open that file in povray and render it (run button or <ALT> <G>)
Now all you need is to locate the file
Use the find file function in windows, and let it search your entire
system for a file called (in this example) "plit.bmp"

This will work if you have made a standard installation.

Take note of where the file is located, because here you will find all the
pictures you have rendered.
Take note that if you render a picture in, say 600X800, and wants to use
that as a thumbnail (bit large for a thumbnail but...) for a version
rendered in 2048X1536, you will have to move the 600X800 version before
you render the 2048X1536 version, as povray doesn't distinguish between
resolutions, it only uses the filename, and will therefore overwrite any
earlier versions.

hope this helps, else ... mail me.

PS. you DO see the occasional picture when you use povray, right?
