Pat,
I was just having the same problems. I found that you need to download the
l2p "lgeo parts file" from the l2p site and put all the .inc files in the
"include" subdirectory of your POV-RAY directory.

I was still having problems because l2p does not work with all LDraw parts.
In researching my problem I found this Lugnet message:

I then decided to try l3p and it is much easier to use and although the
renderings are slightly lower in quality they are still excellent. You can
get l3p here:

I hope that helps some. It is hard getting all this set up the first time but
after some playing around and getting things set up everything is very easy to
use.
