Larry Pieniazek <lar@voyager.net> writes:

Nothing essential is omitted but the design is conveyed in about 1/3 the
number of steps it would take TLG to do it, because it assumes the
reader is an adult and can do mirrored assembly, etc.

I have made proper instruction, mostly in TLG style, but a bit more
"compressed" for a bike at

    http://www.math.uio.no/~fredrigl/technic/monkey-bike/

and I found the work to be a bit tedious.  So this time I thought:
"People don't need all these steps, and it saves me a lot of work (as
well as disk space!), so why not make it as short as possible."

I'm happy to hear that someone actually tried to build it.  My goal was
to share the design idea.  BTW, I've found that the vehicle easily tips
forward when you steer it around with the yellow light.  This is
probably because it is a bit heavy up front.  Adding some load will
probably help this, but you'll need to make a trailer first.

This is a clear CLSoTW nominee if it hasn't been already.

Thanks, but my main page already has a CLSoTW.

(...) Doesn't matter. Ed Boxer won more than once for different sections of his site and deserved it each time. Gary Istok won for stuff he gave me that's on MY site. So I think an award specifically for this page is just fine and justifiable. (26 years ago, 19-May-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad, lugnet.publish)

Wow. I actually went and looked at this. This may be the absolute high point of presentation at the amateur level, EVER. People NEED to check this out, even if they are not town modelers, to see what is possible/creatable/publishable with our (...) (26 years ago, 19-May-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad, lugnet.publish)
