Hi all,
You can find my latest LDraw related experiment here - it's a maths worksheet
featuring a Lego R2-D2!
http://www.pearse.co.uk/lego/worksheets/maths/
I created the R2-D2 graphic using the following technique:
1. Built model in MLCAD
(LDR file available here http://www.pearse.co.uk/lego/downloads/R2-D2.ldr)
2. Loaded model in LDView, and then set the preferences to outline the edges of
the model and then saved as a PNG.
(details here: http://www.pearse.co.uk/lego/links/ldview_settings)
3. Used the Trace Bitmap in Inkscape to convert the graphic to SVG and then
resized and this as a larger PNG
4. Imported the larger PNG into OpenOffice Writer to complete the worksheet
document.
There's probably a better to achieve this kind of effect, so would be interested
to hear your comments.

| They look nice... One question, wasn't it possible to use directly a vectorial format in Open Office (reading documentaion, I see that direct svg support is still not perfect, but perhaps other formats?). And if you are stuck with png, why not (...) (13 years ago, 1-Jul-11, to lugnet.cad)
