A 32-bit build of LDView should work fine as long as you have the 32-bit shared
libraries installed that it needs. If you want, I can work with you to get it
up and running.
As it happens, I have successfully built a 32-bit version of the OSMesa LDView
executable on a 64-bit Gentoo Linux system. (The OSMesa build is for command
line image generation.) Basically, it involves two things: installing the
32-bit version of all the needed libraries, and adding -m32 to the CFLAGS and
LDFLAGS. I even updated the Makefiles to do this automatically based on finding
"x86_64" as the output from uname -m. Contact me via email if you're willing to
pursue this further.
