Among half a dozen models I created with the LEGO Digital Designer (mostly in
black/red due to parts availability) there is one that cannot be added to the
s@h shopping cart. I know this could happen with older models created with an
older build of LDD. But my models are made with the latest LEGO Factory parts
palette, and apparently there is at least one element currently not availible.
Bummer. This is what tech support has to say on this subject:
"The most likely reason that you cannot order your model is that one or more of
the bricks you used are out of stock. There will be updates to the brick
assortment in LEGO Digital Designer 1.6 when bricks are permanently out of
stock. If a model was built with a brick that is out of stock, you will not find
out until you upload it and go to the Shop. A message will then come up that it
is unavailable. At this time, it does not display when it will be available
again."
Excuse me? PERMANENTLY out of stock?? And with no way to find out which
particular elements are not availible? Surely that can't be right. The whole
idea of the LDD would be pointless then. As a customer, I won't be happy if the
current LEGO factory parts palette won't last a LONG, LONG time. I'd even expect
more new elements to show up, rather than the most popular pieces disappearing.
Anyway, has anyone figured out which piece(s) better not to use on a model? I
didn't have any luck locating the troublesome parts on my model so far.
