LPub 2.4.8.0 Problem

I have organized my models in the subdirectory as:
E:\LDRAW\MODELS\fertige\0137-75\0137-75.mpd.
If I want to use them in LPub I got the following error:
"create_mpd_construction_dats: Failed to open file
E:\LDRAW\MODELS\fertige\0137-75\LPub\LDraw\main.ldr for writing."
If I then copy the mpd file into the models directory it works perfectly.
In the documentation I can not find any limitation on pathes.
Any hints or comments?
Operation system WinXP.
