Hi Sonnich,
Yes there is such a way. There are a few tools you will need to do that:
1. The Ldraw parts library installation.
2. MLCad, a wonderful CAD program that lets you enter your model into LDraw
files.
3. L3P, a program that performs a number of different helpful calculations
over your model.
4. LPub, a program that process your LDraw files, renders the models and
parts used, and creates building instructions.
5. Either ldglite, ldview, or POV-Ray to actually render the images. The
feedback I've gotten so far is that ldglite is preferred because of its blinding
speed.
If you do not have the LDraw library and MLCad installed, go to www.ldraw.org
and start there.
Next you will need the remainder of the tools.
Start at www.kclague.net and look for LPub. Download and install LPub.
Before running it, go to the install directory and read the README file. It
tells you how to get the rest of the tools.
Drop me a note if you run into any problems.
