  Re: Reinstalling all cad stuff

(...) See (URL) about the too-fast computer problem. I can't think of any other necessary config changes. (...) Don't forget to run makelist! Or LDAO's version of it, anyway. For LDAO, don't forget to run Make Catalog. To use LDAO's various editing (...) (26 years ago, 8-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Reinstalling all cad stuff

Two problems so far: 1. I've got LDLite working with files off my hard drive, but it won't work for files on lugnet.cad.dat. It just loads LDLite and says "finished" without drawing anything on the screen. If I save the file to hard disk and then (...) (26 years ago, 8-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Reinstalling all cad stuff

Are you using the brand-new, just-released yesterday LDLite 1.6? Your problem sounds like what happened in 1.5 if you did not have the LDRAWDIR environment variable set correctly. -gyug (...) (26 years ago, 9-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Reinstalling all cad stuff

(...) That's a problem in the current release of LDAO -- the CCRPBD.OCX file depends on VB-5 runtime files. The rest of LDAO 2.0.x uses VB-6, and VB-6 is what is included in the install file. Prior versions of LDAO used VB-5, so anyone who upgraded (...) (26 years ago, 9-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Reinstalling all cad stuff

OK. I'm having the same problem described below in #1. Every thing works for files on my drive, but when I click on the "Open this as an LDraw .Dat file" on the Lugnet.Cad.Dat pages, I get a blank screen. One thing I notice is that just before (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Reinstalling all cad stuff

First, try the obvious: run 1.6 and reset the LDRAW base directory. I don't know exactly why, but that has helped before. Netscape+LDLite works OK for me, so I'm just guessing at the problem. After the "Finished" appears, go to the File/Save As menu (...) (26 years ago, 13-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Reinstalling all cad stuff

I can guess what it is: IE is using a temp file name and path name that is a little too weird for LDLite. The LDLite code that opens file names changed in 1.6, and it is possible that a unallowed symbol is in the path to the file, e.g. something not (...) (26 years ago, 14-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)

Paul Gyugyi wrote in message <36EB5A65.CE9B8A20@g...yi.com>... (...) Yep, looks like you've got it here. Just to check, I saved a file to disk (rather than opening it immediately) and IE provided a default name of "ldraw(2)". So, I saved it with (...) (26 years ago, 15-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)
