Hi all,

The second-to-last post on this Brickfilms thread has a very schematic tutorial
on how to animate an Ldraw minifig with Anim8r, via 3D win.

http://www.brickfilms.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4180&start=15

Knowing anim8r, there is nothing new in there. But it does show the correct path
that a newbie to the program should follow (i.e. understanding how bones work is
key).

What I found quite impressive were the screenshots of the minifig in anim8r. I
only have the free version of 3Dwin - can anyone confirm that the full version
does indeed translate Ldraw patterns that well?

This might have something to do with BFC certification, but the free version of
3Dwin and the export version of Leodraw both create 3DS files in which the face
normals are literally all over the place. This can be fixed to a certain extent
using 2-sided materials / view / objects. But those screenshots still look
terrific in comparison ...
