I met a guy named Lloyd Burchill at SIGGRAPH, he stopped by the LEGO booth and
came to the LDraw Birds of a Feather talk held Tuesday. He wrote a Photoshop
plugin that takes an image and wraps it around a globe, then 'LEGOizes' it by
outputting instructions to build a LEGO sphere out of that shape.
He showed me the plugin on his computer, and then emailed me with a link to
download it and a registration key.

Run the filter on an image, and press the LEGO block icon to generate the
instructions.
He thinks he may try to add LDraw model output to the globe instructions. I
can't wait to see that :-)
