  Re: "My reviews" and overturns

(...) Yes, it's possible, I think. I mean, I'm sure it's possible, we've got all the data lying around the server. And we're already showing all of "My Reviews". So we'd just have to figure out which parts you've reviewed that have been resubmitted (...) (18 years ago, 18-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Tutorial on reviewing parts

Niels, Thanks for putting this together. It is good to encourage new people to become reviewers, and to reassure them that it isn't that hard to do. Now, some of my personal observances: IMO, the most useful thing for a new reviewer to understand (...) (18 years ago, 18-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  "My reviews" and overturns

Hi all. Is it possible for the "My reviews" page to show any votes that have been overturned so I know to re check those rather than going through all of them? Thanks (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Tutorial on reviewing parts

(...) Just out of curiosity, have you tried using the latest ATI drivers? Or is it a notebook that the manufacturer hasn't posted updated drivers for? (I know you emailed me about this a long time ago, but can't remember the specifics.) Since the (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Tutorial on reviewing parts

(...) I will try to have this fixed in the next release (I haven't implemented the fix yet). Also, the two triangles that LDView shows you are the ones that it chose to split along. There will always be two ways to split a quad into two triangles, (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Call for GUI part editor

(...) No, what I mean is: 'OK' or 'Send to Clipboard' in SyncEdit does an automatic 'copy', then in LDDP you should do CTRL-A (Select all), CTRL-V (Paste) to replace the contents of the edit buffer. Remember, a 'plug beside .exe' always gets the (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Tutorial on reviewing parts

  Re: Tutorial on reviewing parts

(...) you won't believe it but I just learnt a few new things. (...) no marking needed: * open the part in LDDP * select "Process > External programs > Polling > Poll to L3Lab & LDView" (but it's faster via the icon in the toolbar) * select "Process (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Call for GUI part editor

(...) many thx, anders. I'll test it. question though: CRTL-A for copy? most progs use: CTRL-C for "copy", CTRL-V for "paste", CTRL-X for "cut" while CTRL-A is used for "select all". a typo? bye, w. (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Overlapping primitives - a reason to Hold a part?

(...) Just tested and you're right. I guess the way transparency works in povray means you need a gap between the layers to get mix ups. Tim (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Re: Tutorial on reviewing parts

(...) Yeah, its just a viewer, but looks a lot nicer. I never got on with L3Lab, not entirely sure why. (...) IIRC, it can fix all but the non coplanar quads. (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Tutorial on reviewing parts

(...) You can still only look at the files in ldview right? (it doesn't have any extra features compared to lab?) (...) Cool, thanks! I'll add a note about that (and use it heavily :D ) Cheers NB (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Overlapping primitives - a reason to Hold a part?

(...) First of all, you're right about the fact that there's no hole in the surface under studs, and this technically results in incorrect rendering. However, it's not something that people notice. Additionally, the missing hole under studs is (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Overlapping primitives - a reason to Hold a part?

(...) Travis and Guy have covered the two major issues with overlapped surfaces. As a parts-admin, my view is that while it is better to not overlap surfaces, in some cases the complications required to avoid overlapping are not worth it. So it (...)   Re: Overlapping primitives - a reason to Hold a part?

Re: Overlapping primitives - a reason to Hold a part?

Because all studs are overlaping with quad or box. It is (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Call for GUI part editor

(...) OK, I modified the standalone version a bit. It is now suitable to be used as a 'User-defined program' in LDDP (the 'Parameter' field in LDDP should be set to '%0'). Note that such programs can *only* work with the full file, not selections in (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad)
