At Larry's suggestion, I'm trying to get LDGLite (for OS X, in my case). The (URL) LDGLite page> provides a link to an (URL) OS X app bundle>, but I've downloaded it twice now, and both times it fails to unpack, saying: "gunzip: (...) (19 years ago, 26-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

(...) If we followed that logic, LDraw would never have existed in the first place. When LDraw started out, there were already plenty of 3D modeling systems. (...) Agreed. (...) Ewe!!! I'll just throw in here that doing animations from text files is possible. But it is a nightmare once you want anything slightly complicated.
