George, The CATEGORY meta-statement isn't needed. IIRC, the PARTSREF d/b reads in the first word of the title as the CATEGORY... (...) FWIW, this head is available in one of the "Racers" sets as well. Thus, I'd recommend the following KEYWORDS: (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Part recycling question
 
One quick question: Say a new part is authored that uses a portion of an older, flawed part. Is it the part author's responsibility to fix the flaws in the underlying DAT code? I think this would mostly apply to the creation of patterned parts (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Very strange, but just finished transfering home Lego stuff (Win 98) to work laptop (Win2k Pro) and all works fine except there are no scroll bars in the 4 viewing windows in MLCAD 2.12 when in F3 mode (or any other mode for that matter). I (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) yes i use quad2dat, but i was submitting part 30541 a non-pattened part. then i resubmitted part 2484 just to test it. 2484 went through before without a problem. i did the same thing, wordpad cut, new doc, paste save... it worked (22 years ago, 20-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad)

I used QUAD2DAT to create the original file. I'm sure that it is the same program the Thomas used. It's possible that when Chris added the new lines to this release he changed how he wrote the dat out. (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad)
