Announcing the FC Star Wars Vignette Custom Figure Contest!!
“What is the contest,” you ask. Well it is simply building a vignette using at
least one custom minifigs. What is a vignette you ask, well it has a 8 stud x 8
stud foot print. This means you can not make a 10x6, 4x12, etc. It has to be
on a 8x8 square platform.

Fine Print:
“There has to be a catch,” you say, of course, isn’t there always? The vignettes
must be in the Star Wars theme. That isn’t to say they have to be scenes from a
film, as long as they look like they would fit into the Star Wars Universe.

RULES:
1. Vignette size is micro or 8 studs by 8 studs
2. At least one custom figure must be used in the vignette.
3. Contest is open to ANY and ALL, WORLDWIDE, so spread the word. The only
ineligible person is ME, Kaminoan.
4. You are allowed to submit as many vignettes as you like.
5. Custom parts are allowed to create custom figures. Vignette must be
constructed out of Lego elements.
6. Picture submission will be via the forums, in the contest thread. Pictures
must be formatted to 400 pixels x 400 pixels and posted in the appropriate
forum. Limit of 1 picture per vignette!!!
7. The Contest will start as soon as you start building, but submissions will be
accepted from Midnight (US Central Standard Time) on August 1st, 2007 to
Midnight (US Central Standard Time) on September 1st, 2007.
8. The vignettes will be initially judged by a panel of non-Lego people, of the
FC selection, to identify the top 5 vignettes. Once the top 5 vignettes have
been identified voting in the forums will commence approximately one week after
the submission deadline to select the best.
9. All decisions by the FC are final. The FC reserves the right to disqualify
any submissions for any reason.
10. Vignettes entered in previous FC contests are NOT eligible.
Now the good stuff:
PRIZES:
• First Prize (1): One of Kaminoan’s newly sculpted and cast Tauntaun, complete
with Saddle, Bedroll tile, and reigns. All that it needs is a rider.
• Second Place Prize (1): $15 in FC merchandise.
• Third Prize (1): $5 in FC merchandise.
Think that is about it, a thread will be set up shortly for discussion of the
contest. A bit later a submission thread will be set up for your entries.
Since your vignette will be judged on your photographs, take your time and
submit the best photos you can. You can always shrink them down to the
appropriate size. Need help figuring out how to take that photo or alter its
size, check the forums for tips.
Don’t know how to make a custom figure, well check the forums as well, plenty of
tips located in there.
