Melody - that is a lovely tribute. I was so shocked to hear of Steve Irwin’s death. He was a super entertainer, a good family man and a great Australian. I hope his wife and kids continue on with running the zoo and doing t.v. programs. The little vignettes are lovely. I’m glad you have paid tribute in Lego.

G’day fellas’ and sheilas’

As I guess the whole entire universe knows, at the age of 44, Steve Irwin the Croc Hunter, nature’s best friend, sadly passed away yesterday (Sept 4th 2006) due to what he would most likely call, even though it killed him, a ‘beautiful stingray’.

He found all of natures creatures most would find ugly, ‘beautiful’. He found beauty in many things and he adored life. For him life was good, works was everyday life and not work to him and family meant more than anything, but his family were not just humans, they were all the animals this earth has to offer, great and small.

He stunned and shocked the world throughout, in so many ways and defied death and took the risk so many times, he knew what he was doing even though he was very close at times... sadly this time, too close...

To Australians (and the world who also admired & respected him) he was and still remains a hero, a great bloke and forever a Legend. The guy is a real champ and his passion for many things was huge, bigger than most could imagine. His enthusiasm was genuine and unique as is his love for what he does best.

His legend will live on through his family; Children - Bindi, 8 and Bob, 3, not to forget his adoring wife who he loved dearly, Terri. I am sure that both Bindi and Bob will grow up doing what their dad did and loved most and they will make him proud.

For now, he will soon rest with his Mother who he missed dearly and helping her wrestle any other crocs that may have gone to where he is now

You rock mate! Even the crocs will miss ya! You’ll be sadly missed!

May he R.I.P. and his legend live on!

Mel
