  Re: Tango-no-Sekku (Boy's Day)

(...) Thanks for posting these--they (both this and the previous vignette) are beautiful. It captures the colours of Japan nicely and while I've never been a big fan of vignettes in general, I love the small, neat package that your models form. (...)   Re: Tango-no-Sekku (Boy's Day)

(...) I figured this was next and I was wondering how you would make the carp pennants. And I bet that balaclava head is a daruma! :-) Your vignettes bring back memories of years spent in Japan as a child and of looking out the window on the ride to (...) (...) Heh heh... I'd be honored. Don't know if I'll ever make it to Brickfest (it would be a very long trip for me). Doesn't anyone want to see Brickfest 2007 held here in Hawaii? (...) You sir, are the king of vignettes. Perhaps the "Big Daddy" award should be made for the vig award this year at Brickfest. (19 years ago, 8-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Hina-Matsuri (Girl's Day)

Hello! That's beautiful. It's looking very Japanese (as fasr as I can judge that). You are truely a master of atmospheric details! Bye Jojo (19 years ago, 7-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: An Apple Keynote

(...) Daniel, good to see you online! I like this vignette (alothough as you poined out, the photos aren't very strong) Nice work on the Apple logo, and also on the computer and iSight. The most important thing on a vignette is to make a setting in (...) (19 years ago, 7-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) The Urban Commando vigs are outstanding...it's so difficult to capture a sense of decay or grit, but you've done it. The doors..both the boarded up entrance and the roll-up door really stand out. The Coporate Exec-utioner was great too. -Keith (19 years ago, 6-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Hina-matsuri is Girl's Day in Japan, and is celebrated on March 3rd.   Re: Brokeback Mountain Vignette

Photoshopping in the words, "I wish I could quit you." would definitely gay it up a bit more and get the love story across more. Just my two cents. (19 years ago, 3-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)
