An "almost Joe Vig" time travel vignette.

Hi, Pictures are here: (URL) call this an "almost Joe Vig" vignette because I built it with the intent of entering it in a Joe Vig contest but I never got around to buying the proper pieces to build a "correct" Joe Vig minifig (on top of not having (...)   Re: New MOC: In The Archives

I like the chandelier (electric? gas globes? they're not candles) and the easel. A very heavy-duty easel, that is -- must be designed for volumes of the OED, not just piddly scrolls. :) It needs a spider crawling around the ceiling. And an (...) (...) Gary's right, and you can actually sit in the bus yourself, and even in the seat where Rosa Parks sat. I take my kids to the museum and the village several times a year and it never gets old. The village has many relocated historical (...) (19 years ago, 4-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Great, and timely, MOC Bruce! The single wheel is a little surreal but all in all the section bus concept is well executed. Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (19 years ago, 3-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) Very nice Bruce! Here in Detroit I've been watching the funeral services on local TV all day. She lived most of the last 50 years in Detroit with her late husband Raymond. She was an inspiration to all of us. Ironically THE BUS is also here in (...) (19 years ago, 3-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) A moving tribute beautifully realized. It succeeds as both a historical commemoration and as a great example of the LEGO vignette style. The slice-through of the bus is very clever and well-executed. Thank you for posting this. (...) Please do (...) (19 years ago, 3-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Rosa Parks 1913-2005

Hi all, Fifty years ago in a quiet act of bravery, Rosa Parks stood up for her rights by sitting down. Hey Nate, Great little scene. I love the easel, especially, and that's a great use of the new printed tile. I also really liked how you did the windows of ever-increasing length - it really emphasizes the long axis of the model well. (URL) blogged> (...)
