  Re: Kabaya Ghost Stories

(...) I don't care if i'm the third person in a row to say this...but, WoW!!! Really good stuff man. You accuracy from those candy toy to Lego bricks is precise and excellent. Well done, good capture of mood... you managed to grasp the eerie and (...) (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: Kabaya Ghost Stories

Hey Pat, Wow! Vignette prowess really runs deep in the Yrizarry family gene pool! There is so much coolness about this series of vignettes: The mere fact that these LEGO vignettes are based on ??? (porcelain?) vignettes. The way you matched the figs (...) (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Kabaya Ghost Stories

(URL) Kabaya Ghost Stories in LEGO! Late last year I went to a Japanese grocery store in my neighborhood and purchased a few of the Kabaya candy Lego sets (the dinosaur and Star Wars series).   Jack Skellington & Zero

Here is my only vignette so far. I think it is too big, but when I first posted it some one called it one, so I am going to go with it. (URL) (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Vignette sidebar

Nathan and I are currently busy working on the new .vignette sidebar. Just wondering how you like the new logo...any comments? We will be introducing some new ideas soon, so stay tuned! Nelson (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  New blog: VignetteBricks

Hi all, Well, I timed this just about right. I've actually been working on the idea for a bit, but with the new .build.vignette newsgroup, the recent great success of the vignette category in the classic-castle contest, and the spate of great (...)   Re: My Wife At Work

(...) Strangely enough, when I asked my wife if she really did have a barrel under her desk at work, her reply was a definitive "Yeah." Weird. -Elroy (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: My Wife At Work

(...) Maybe its supposed to be a "stylish" trash bin. A good friend on Classic-Castle chat, Jennifer, likes to collect ornamental bins for decorative purposes, maybe Elroy's wife does the same? Ben Medinets (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) That's a real cool cubicle! Except, does your wife really have a barrel under her desk? BD Nelson (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  My Wife At Work

Here's a quick one that I built this afternoon for my wife, who works in a Customer Service department (not a job I'd recommend, by the way): (2 URLs) Brickshelf Gallery> -Elroy (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: .Vignette curator

(...) Thanks Bruce. I said 'tomorrow', when I really meant 'Sunday.' Heh. Nathan and Nelson have been set up as curators. Let me know if there are any problems with this. -Lenny (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.curators, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Tall Vignette: Jumper

(...) Welcome aboard, Ley! (Snip) (...) So how did you make that "stereo-opticon" image? Pretty cool, except when your eyes are all bugged out.   Re: Tall Vignette: Jumper

Hey Prof, I really like this, especially the extreme height-to-base-size ratio. I believe this is the first new MOC in .build.vignette, as the other posts are all recapping creations previously posted in other groups. Congratulations on breaking the (...)
