  Everybody was Kung-fu Fighting...

Well maybe not... I'd planned to have a couple of ninjas fighting out front, but then realized I'd packed them all away. So instead Kilroy got the position of honor...   Re: Joe Vig Competition entry - The land of Hitchcock 1 & 2

Those are great. I love the use of the lightsaber hilt for the shower-head. The shower curtain is excellent too. I haven't seen the Birds so I can't really comment too much on it, other than to say, that you beat me to making a vignette from it... (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Joe Vig Competition entry - The land of Hitchcock 1 & 2

This is my first time giving vignettes a go. The reasoning behind my vignette is with Joe Vignettes, you always feel this sense of dread, like you want to yell out to him and warn him of the danger. This gives me that same feeling of when I am (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Paint Your War-God...?

There's Gold in Them There Hills!

Hey all, Took the day off from studying and made up a few more vignettes today. These are inspired by my hometown smack-dab in the center of California's gold country: First, a prospector finds gold in his pan: (URL) And second, two miners prepare (...)   A Day at the Zoo

Hey all, Had an idea for a series of vignettes tonight as I was getting ready for bed... Thought I'd just do one, then decided to do too, and when all was said and done, I had three. Here's the result: The Monkey Cage: (URL) The Reptile House (Part (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.build, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.town)

Re: A New Vig: "Over The Edge"

(...) Thanks! Getting both objects to look like they were really moving was quite hard. End the end, I was forced to simply prop the car up on two clear 1x1 round bricks and attach the privy with a click-hinge. Luckily, in most shots, both methods (...)   Re: Paul Revere's Ride

(...) Good point, though, as Lenny points out below, brick-built versions could work. Hmm, maybe I'll give that a try. Bruce (19 years ago, 8-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Paul Revere's Ride

(...) I agree with James. And, oddly enough, there IS a realistic Brick-built horse design out there that you, Bruce, could have borrowed. (URL) Alan> made this sweet horse design. You could even modify the design a wee bit to incorporate (URL) my (...) (19 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Four new vignettes

(...) Hey Brendan, Thanks for the kind words. You're actually the first person to mention the face choices, which I thought was key to the whole scene. (...) Thanks. I can't say for sure that it's original at all. I've probably seen someone do (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Four new vignettes

Hi, Bruce. Nice work. Love the difference in facial expressions between the people with money-in-hand, waiting to get their fix and the one guy who's been served. And it seems like such an obvious detail, but I don't think I've ever seen the old (...) (19 years ago, 2-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Joe Vig Contest Entry - Castaway

Shipwrecked and drifting for days on a bit of flotsam, Joe Vig finally finds a bit of dry land. And oh look, is that a friendly dog to be his loyal companion?
