  A Day at the Zoo

Hey all, Had an idea for a series of vignettes tonight as I was getting ready for bed... Thought I'd just do one, then decided to do too, and when all was said and done, I had three. Here's the result: The Monkey Cage: (URL) The Reptile House (Part (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.build, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.town)

Re: A New Vig: "Over The Edge"

(...) Thanks! Getting both objects to look like they were really moving was quite hard. End the end, I was forced to simply prop the car up on two clear 1x1 round bricks and attach the privy with a click-hinge. Luckily, in most shots, both methods (...) (...) Thanks! Just remember, not all reckless drivers are young, and not all young drivers are reckless! :) I look forward to your vignettes! -- Nathan Wells (19 years ago, 8-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: Paul Revere's Ride

(...) Good point, though, as Lenny points out below, brick-built versions could work. Hmm, maybe I'll give that a try. Bruce (19 years ago, 8-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Paul Revere's Ride

(...) I agree with James. And, oddly enough, there IS a realistic Brick-built horse design out there that you, Bruce, could have borrowed. (URL) Alan> made this sweet horse design. You could even modify the design a wee bit to incorporate (URL) my (...) (19 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Four new vignettes

(...) Hey Brendan, Thanks for the kind words. You're actually the first person to mention the face choices, which I thought was key to the whole scene. (...) Thanks. I can't say for sure that it's original at all. I've probably seen someone do (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Four new vignettes

Hi, Bruce. Nice work. Love the difference in facial expressions between the people with money-in-hand, waiting to get their fix and the one guy who's been served. And it seems like such an obvious detail, but I don't think I've ever seen the old (...) (19 years ago, 2-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Joe Vig Contest Entry - Castaway

Shipwrecked and drifting for days on a bit of flotsam, Joe Vig finally finds a bit of dry land. And oh look, is that a friendly dog to be his loyal companion?   North Central Positronics Ltd.... Presents Andy

Hey all, This scene is a bit of a spoiler so if you plan to read the books you might wish to skip it... Threw together a third Dark Tower vignette tonight.   Wolves of the Calla

Hello all, Threw together another Dark Tower vignette. This one is from Book 5: Wolves of the Calla. Not much too this one, as the horse and wheel chair take up a lot of space. Anyhow, to explain the scene a bit: Susannah Dean, armed with her (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.western, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: A New Vig: "Over The Edge"

Hey Nate, Great vig! I like the way you gave both the car and the outhouse motion, especially. Nice half-scale car, btw. Also a clever way to attach the plant pieces so they look like roots or something. Bruce (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: A New Vig: "Over The Edge"

(...) ... (...) Very funny! Very good portrayal of the consequences of reckless (young?) drivers! Thankyou! I see I need to work some more on my vignette before I publish it! :) Olof (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)
