Re: Two Vignettes and a Funeral

Very nice! The sun bathing one is my favorite! In fact, I had nearly the very same idea for a Joe Vig vignette! I think the wave might look better if it had some transparent blue and white pieces in it, but the shape itself looks good. The Floor Is (...)   Two Vignettes and a Funeral

Hey all, Spent the morning making three vignettes: This one is from a scene in my favorite movie, which I was watching while I was building. Its called "The Floor is On Fire:" (URL) second one illustrates the dangers of setting up sun-bathing camp (...)   U.S.S. Vignette

Hey all, My latest vignette project: the U.S.S. Vignette. This will be a series of modular vignettes, which when done should create the interior of an attack submarine. Thus far, it includes: The Torpedo Room: (URL) The Bridge: (URL) And the whole (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.town, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Black Diamond

Bruce, I like how you kinda turned the whole vignette thing on it's ear. Kinda like a breath of alpine air in the face of a limiting genre. I like the Vertigo inducing feeling you get from looking at it. Super fun to look at, although it might be a (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Nelson, Great Work Sir. i saw this and laughed for a good bit. I like the dark humor here, very nice work. Jon (20 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) Hey andrew, nice MOCs! The racing track one is nice, I like the use of djred. I'm not sure what the hammer is supposed to be in the second one though. Thanks! XFUT to people.teens Legoswami (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.people.teens)

Hey guys, Very cool idea! (URL) Blogged!> My thoughts are very similar to Jason's. From Nelson I think the Grease Fire and Pit Stop are the stronger creations. In the Grease Fire one, the kitchen details are superb, with the drawers, the tile floor, (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Two Vigs

Hey all, I was stuck home today because I'm sick, but I managed to build two vigs. The first was inspired by my school's track meeting that I'm missing today. (URL) second was inspired by every teenager's hate of school. (URL) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

(...) Neat idea to continue interest in vignettes. I hope to see more Joe Vig adventures. (...) Toxic Trouble is my favorite of this bunch. The toxic substance buring through the floor is great. In lugnet.build.vignette, Nelson Yrizarry wrote: <snip> He's wearing the same colour clothing as Gilligan from 'Gilligan's Island'. Coincidence? I wonder... I'm going to like seeing the contributions to this one... Keep up the great work! Dave K (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Introducing.... Joe Vig !!!

Meet Joe Vig... (URL) Who is Joe Vig? He is the unluckiest and most oblivious minifig ever created. Joe has no clue of what’s going on in the area just around him! He is also electro-magnet for bad luck, and never quite seems to know what’s about to (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.announce, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

(...) Roger that. I think this movie is destined to be a classic. It's not a grand movie, as you say, but it's great. It makes fun of cliches in a cool way, there are some great bits, and Meg plays a lot of parts. Tom and Meg just have some sort of (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) Thanks, Rev. I was happy with how that turned out. The guy at the top was a much bigger struggle. At first I tried to put his pole vertically in the hollow stud at the top of the 75degree slope, but to hold that he ended up hanging in space (...) (...) Yep. When are we going to see one from you? :) (...) Hmm, I never got beyond the fluffy bunny slopes, myself, so I don't know what distinguishes them. I'm not sure exactly how I'd make a double diamond in my space restrictions, though. Bruce (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Thanks for pointing these out Bruce. They're all good or great, but this one really stands out for me: (URL) The water surface is simple, brilliant and totally effective. Peace and surface tension, Professor Whateverly (URL) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)
