  On creating life-sized sculpture

Let's say, for the sake of argument, that I wanted to come up with actual step-by-step plans for creating a life-sized Lego statue of some well-known caped superhero, let's say, Superman. What would be the best way to go about this using something (...) (19 years ago, 1-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: light the night

Ondrew, I was somehow deeply moved when I first viewed your sculpture this afternoon. As Mark said, I immediately thought of the 9/11 tribute, specifically in my case it brought to mind some of the renderings of proposed WTC replacements. Your (...)   Re: Introducing: Taki

(...) Excellent idea. I don't think I will copy it but it does make sense. Great job finding a use for parts that have so few. (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Introducing: Taki

A while back, I happened across some real cheap basketball fig packs. I got to thinking about the springy legs, and what other possible uses they could have. Well, that night, I was playing the game Soul Calibur II. For those of you who have not (...)   Lego Spheres of various radius

I know that everybody has done a sphere... I've seen a sphere calculator (very very cool, not studs-up, and instructions somewhat hard to follow). I thought that I would be thorough...   Re: Post for David Winkler... The Stanford Bunny!!

(...) I was asked the following question: Wow! How did you digitize the mesh into Lego units? Did you do a "hit test" on each vertext/face within lego units, or perhaps do a boolean subtract out of a composite lego 'block'? Inquiring minds want to (...) (...) Great work Judy! Can't believe I haven't seen your stuff before. I was looking at your brickshelf folder and was duly impressed! Keep up the great work.   Re: Poet and animal sculptures

(...) Both of these are wonderful. Judy you seem to have a very distinct style and approach to your sculptures. The sea turtle has an amazing use of colour, (as do many of your other models) and a very pleasing shape. Emily, is in a perfect pose and (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Bouquet

(...) Yes I am. It was OK without for the prototype, but the bouquet as a whole needed it or stability. As it is, the flowers often dead-headed themselves. -Duane (19 years ago, 14-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)
