  Re: Finding Nemo

(...) Hi, He's great! Your decision to build his face "studs forward" was an excellent idea. On the dorsal fin - try just a vertical line of 2x1 bricks until you get close to the top. Nature does have some straight lines after all. Mark (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Finding Nemo

Bryan, I've admired your Nemo the couple times he's popped up on Brickshelf. Very nice. My kids would love to build him. Any chance of instructions? :) Corey www.brickitgood.com (20 years ago, 28-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Finding Nemo

Hi all, Here's something I built for a local event at a school with an undersea theme (click on picture for gallery): (URL) It's gotta be the most difficult thing I've EVER tried to build. I'm normally a castle builder (rectangular stuff), so (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX) !!

Re: Statue of Liberty Pedestal for set 3450

Hi Mark, I'm 'collecting' tan also for catle structures. I think it's an adequate choice for the red-sand like bricks they used in many (European?) castles anyway. About my Seven Wonders Project: I tend to go for Artemis or the Mausoleum. For both I (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jun-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Statue of Liberty Pedestal for set 3450

Thanks Daan. With the color change of grey (and the fact that white fades quickly - my Union Station is already showing aging, although I think it improves the look), I think tan will probably take a higher place in my color choices for town (...)   Re: Statue of Liberty Pedestal for set 3450

Hello Mark Chan, I like your model a lot! Given the restrictions you yourself already mentioned, it's an eyecatching pedestrial. I might borrow some of your solutions in my 'seven wonders' project! I finished my pyramid and will start on one of the (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jun-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.sculpture)

MOC: Statue of Liberty Pedestal for set 3450

I always wanted a Pedestal for the excellent 3450 Statue of Liberty model, and with the help of many BrickLink sellers, I was finally able to finish a version I had been planning for a while: (URL) were no CAD or other computer models used in the (...)   Building project (but NOT LEGO!)

All, This is not LEGO related, exactly, but being a recent project using a construction toy, I thought some here might be interested in reading about it: (URL) have directed follow-ups to .off-topic.fun cheers, eric harshbarger (20 years ago, 25-Jun-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Seattle Public Library MOC

Hello All, After much fanfare and a weeks long events of the grand opening of the new Seattle Central Library a few members of SEALUG showed off some stuff at a LEGO display on Sat. 29th for Kids & Family day. With over 10,000 people attending, (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.build.arch)

RE: Giant LEGO Mosaic In Owen Sound, Ontario

(...) Bill, sorry about that. Please forgive a silly Mindstorms specialist for not knowing that there was actually a mosaic group. :-) I WILL post pictures once the final mosaic is assembled... Cheers, Ralph (20 years ago, 31-May-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic, lugnet.build.sculpture)
