Re: LEGO Sculpture: Crayola Crayon Box

(...) Great, If you need a local contact or anything, feel free to email me. We live about two miles from Strong Museum, and have season passes (vital when you have small kids and have to survive winter in Rochester). George (21 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

I will actually be getting a trip to Rochester out of this. I will be there the weekend of 14-16 Nov. eric (...) (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: LEGO Sculpture: Crayola Crayon Box

(...) Looks swell eric, and this is one of your creations that I should be able to see in person, with a minimum of fuss. Too bad you didn't get a trip to Rochester out of this. Strong Museum is a neat thing to visit, and Rochester weather in the (...) (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: LEGO Sculpture: Crayola Crayon Box

Correct. Only, the black crayon is complete. Fonts: (URL) a complete exhibition, but I have been trying to document some of my lettering. eric (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: LEGO Sculpture: Crayola Crayon Box

It's always fun seeing what you come up with Eric. Quick question about the crayons. It looks like the black crayon is the only one not meant to fit in the box. The other crayons are only tips, right? Ever thought of doing alphabets in Lego? In (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: New MOC: Little Dogbert

(...) Thanks for the suggestion...but...you're correct, the dish is too big, and the plate is too small...plus in either case I'd need something black that would go around it as the rim of the glasses. I'm still thinkin' about it, maybe I'll do a (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Stefan Vorst's zoo

Hi Bruce, Thanks for posting this. At least the lion gives me some ideas of how to make small tiger sculptures :) I really like the birds and the snakes too. The only ones that I'm not sure of are the camel (ewww. it's taking a dump), and the lion (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: New MOC: Little Dogbert

It's very cute. Have you tried using these for eyes? (URL) not sure if it's too big, but you can also try round plates? (URL) good. Helps keep the evil catbert anyway :) -Anne (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Stefan Vorst's zoo

Hi all, I don't think he posts here any more, so I'll highlight Stefan Vorst's zoo: (URL) favorite is the lion, but the solution for the head on that ostrich is ingenious. I wonder how well it holds. Bruce (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: New MOC: Little Dogbert

Very cute. Great to sit next to your computer and banish the evil demons of stupidity. My only issue is that I agree with you that the eyes aren't right. I can't think of a good alternative at that scale, though. Bruce (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: LEGO Sculpture: Crayola Crayon Box

(...) Beautiful. The scale, proportion, and vivid brilliant color are very appealing. Wonderful accomplishment of such fine SNOT-work to realize the fonts! I love those detail pictures of the text. Great job! Congratulations on the exhibit. later, (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  New MOC: Little Dogbert

One of my first sculptures when I came out of my "dark ages" was a life-sized statue of Dogbert from the Dilbert comic strip. I was challenged by a coworker who'd seen the other characters in the strip (but NOT Dogbert) done in a much smaller scale, (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: LEGO Sculpture: Crayola Crayon Box

"8 JUMBO Crayons"!!! :) Very fun model. I thought at first it was just the outside of the box and one crayon (as shown in the first pic). That in itself was great. The fact that you have all 8 colors is an added bonus. Oh, all the text is very cool, (...) (21 years ago, 6-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  LEGO Sculpture: Crayola Crayon Box

Hi all, I'm glad I was able to complete this project in time for the upcoming DixieLUG meeting.   Re: MOC: Albert the moose

(...) Hmm, I think he's just some swedish moose, so he's got no name other than "älg". But if I must I'd call him Space (quite a few pieces from 8480 in there). (...)
