He's actually pretty stable, at least in terms of standing still. It's hard to
see in the pictures, but he has a somewhat long heel sticking out in the back.
You can bump the table he is on, and he may rock, but in general won't fall.
However, if you push him over, he doesn't do very well. I tried to keep his
center of mass as close to the middle of the feet as I could, but it was pretty
hard with the shell. I actually gave him a longer snout initially, which made
him more stable, but a lot less turtly.
My problem now is figuring out a spot to keep him in that is cat free.
I think I may have seen your gator online a few months ago, but it was missing
some parts, is it complete? I'd love to check it out and compare notes.
