Re: LEGO Sculpture: Golden Gate Bridge

(...) Eric- As always, simply splendid! I'm always amazed at what you do with comparatively basic bricks. Someday perhaps I can see some of this in the ABS, one of these days. Thanks for bringing joy to me here in seemingly LEGOless Africa. best LFB (22 years ago, 14-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: LEGO Sculpture: Golden Gate Bridge

(...) Heh. I don't feel so bad. The GGB was the first MOC I tried (very unsuccessfully) about 4 years ago. I stopped when I realised how many bricks I would need :) Now, I'm trying other projects, but even my largest one is only 3,000+ pieces :) (...) (22 years ago, 13-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

I'm stunned. Really nice work. And a remarkably simple and elegant solution to the cables. Wow. Beautiful. Joe Meno (22 years ago, 12-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

(...) (although at a MUCH smaller scale than this!) This is simply beautiful. You nailed it. Great solution for the cables. How are the cables modeled for the Legoland version? It's never been too clear to me from the photos I've seen. Clever way to (...) (22 years ago, 12-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: LEGO Sculpture: Golden Gate Bridge

(...) I like the "cable" construction of 1x6 plates. Very clever. Very nice! I'd bet that the center span will hold. Please keep us posted. -TJ (22 years ago, 11-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: LEGO Sculpture: Golden Gate Bridge

(...) Eric, As usual, my first comment was wow! The towers look awesome. You used an ingenious method for the suspension cables. I love the mini cars. As for not getting a third landmark up in time, well, I don't think anyone will mind. Can we know (...) (22 years ago, 11-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
