Originally, I planned to make a very simple post on lugnet but I didn't find the
time to make it before leaving for christmas holidays with my laptop but without
an internet connection...so I took time to do something more elaborate.

As said, this MMA to MMA connection is not widely used...I've been able to find
only one example (Squieu) among BS user. The very original connection, far from
more usual ones like stud/tube or clip/bar probably explain this. Is this clip
to clip connection still LEGO building ?

Yes. Not sure who has "invented" this connection. Alban Nanty is probably
responsible :-) for reminding me this particular connection with the tiles :
