Re: Concertina wagon... and a whole lot of SNOT

(...) This is the other Tim ;-) The concertina wagon has a solid roof/side in sections that slide inside one another, hence slight differences in size that Tim had worked so hard to reproduce. (URL) In the UK they are usually used for carrying steel (...) (17 years ago, 20-May-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim)

Re: Concertina wagon... and a whole lot of SNOT

(...) Like Chris, I too noticed that cool hopper while admiring the lovely SNOT-li-ness of your concertina wagon. (btw, what is a concertina wagon?) Tim, I've been meaning to ask you, since I've noticed it before, how do you do your trucks with the (...) (17 years ago, 20-May-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim)

Re: Concertina wagon... and a whole lot of SNOT

(...) Cool, but I did you ever tell us about this one (which shares a gallery with your concertina wagon)? (URL) is also very nice, and I don't think I've seen 1x3 bricks with bow used that way before. Thanks for the inspiration, Chris (17 years ago, 20-May-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim)

Concertina wagon... and a whole lot of SNOT

(URL) Hi all, This remarkably plain wagon has a deadly secret inside... it's filled with SNOT!!!! I wanted to do the concertina effect very subtly which meant half plate differences in two directions at once in addition to the half plate height (...)   Modest house

Since not every minifig in LEGO city can afford to stay at the Café Corner hotel, I thought it would be nice to have some kind of modest house - no gargoyles, not much colors, nothing fancy; just a plain street house: (2 URLs) gallery> This house (...)   Re: Le Corbusier House in Stuttgart Weissenhof Estate form 1927

Oh my goodness, I really like seeing your work, I am sorry I missed this. I didn't realize. I enjoyed seeing all the details and the way you used so many great parts. Clean design, very well thought out. Great work. - Eric (17 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.schleim)

  Bulldog Sculpture

Just to let people know... I'm not dead. I'm just a little busy. :-) (2 URLs) More Pictures> This sculpture was built using Bram Lambrecht's LSculpt utility ((URL)) combined with the Ldraw ((URL)) set of tools. (...) Holger, I actually gasped. :) Fantastic work, as always... it's always a pleasure to catch your updates. And I love your "photo from the same angle" way of showing off your creations. I'm a huge fan of modernist design, which I suppose by no (...) (17 years ago, 19-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: Le Corbusier House in Stuttgart Weissenhof Estate form 1927

(...) Gorgeous as usual! The curved wall by the entrance is nice, and the interior floor with the small tiles looks fantastic. I love to see the insides of buildings completed. The matching of real and Lego views is a great way to show all the (...) (17 years ago, 15-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

--snip-- (...) Excellent work as usual, HoMa. My favourite touch is using the 1x4x3 clear panels forward and reverse to make 'opening' windows. Genius. Tim (17 years ago, 14-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  MOC: Ubrikkian Landspeeder

Hello, It's been a while since I've posted a MOC, so I figured it was time to actually take pictures of the several I've accrued over the past few years. Anyway, here's an Ubrikkian Landspeeder (the weird ball thing outside the Mos Eisley Cantina). (...) (17 years ago, 5-Apr-07, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim) !

  Ideas: Sphere/Landing Gear

I just wanted to post an idea (well, two) I had for landing gear/legs for something, and a sphere design, all in one. Not meant to be anything, just conserving space for picture taking purposes.   Re: Boiler idea

(...) Nice, also good for tank cars instead of the 2x2 rounded slope piece assuming you can get enough longitudinal strength. Chris (17 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Re: Boiler idea

(...) I had a tough time playing around with this circular schleim idea about a year ago. I had been trying to "fill in" a 1-stud-wide version of this so that I could get a circle that was roughly 6-wide (decoration on the side of a Millyard (...) (...) Yeah, I guess your right, I think there is another flaw in my thinking as well but without brick in front of me I can't say for sure. I like your design! -Eric (17 years ago, 2-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Re: Boiler idea

  Re: Boiler idea

(...) Tim, How about using 1x1 with studs on 4 sides in the corners and 1x1 headlight bricks on one side (stud of 1x1 with 4 studs to the back of headlight brick) for connecting the plate with tiles.. You would have to alter a few connections when (...) (17 years ago, 2-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)
