I recall using the axle and tube method shown back in 2003-2004 when I built my completely stud free (correct proportion) monolith from 2001: (URL) I assume this technique was widely known before then but it surprised me (...) I usually hang around CS, and over the last couple of years I've become more and more interested in alternative building techniques. I've not posted them here (...)
