Re: The Unofficial LEGO Advanced Building Techniques Guide

(...) Thank you - I'keep this thread in my bookmarks and I'll fix that in the next release (...) Yes, the SNIR chapter needs an improvment with advanced use of hinges parts. More ideas or resources ? Thanks, Didier (17 years ago, 18-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.schleim)

  Hinge wall alignment

I have one other technique that I haven't documented yet. I saw William Howard doing some slanted walls for shop fronts, and had to work out the maths behind it. The technique is for fitting in a wall that slants in or out by two studs. The slanted (...) (17 years ago, 18-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

(...) It is true that UBT does not update anymore, but one of its contributor is now involved in (URL) The Brothers Brick>. The content from UBT will also be ported to that blog (if it hasn't already). TBB mainly highlights good mocs, but we also do (...) (17 years ago, 16-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: The Unofficial LEGO Advanced Building Techniques Guide

(...) Didier, this is a fantastic piece of work - even better since the last time I saw it. I'm terribly sorry in case you tried to reach me again; way back when I slipped of the 'net, my e-mail also went haywire and I completely forgot about this. (...) Great resource Didier! It's wonderful to have so many techniques compiled into one document. This would be perfect for handing out hard-copies of at LUG meetings, among many uses. A couple of things that occurred to me while reading it... 1. Minor (...) (17 years ago, 16-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.schleim)

(...) Why do you think I need to read more about it??! :-D Oh, I can transport them just fine... so long as you'd like them to arrive in many, many pieces... - Kelly (17 years ago, 16-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.schleim)

(...) I have a few plans to expand but not in the ways you quote. I'd like to read about these themes from you. Eventhough since I've seen the setup of the"window into the community" in Portland, I'm not sure you're the one to speak about (...) (17 years ago, 15-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.schleim)

Re: The Unofficial LEGO Advanced Building Techniques Guide

(...) I've read your document, there are some very good techniques described, some of which I've used in a MOC I'm currently working on. I notice it seems to focus quite a bit on SNOT, are there plans to expand beyond that (like determining (...) (17 years ago, 15-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.schleim)

(...) The brickwiki (or the trains bit anyway) is linked from the .trains sidebar and for its first year or so had a bigger mention higher up the page too. Tim (meaning you need to check out .trains :-) ) (17 years ago, 15-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)
