I have seen a number of Homer mosaics displayed here and thought I'd finally add my own. I built it quite awhile ago but never took any pictures. Thanks, Andrew. Having a couple of Mathematics degrees, myself, I have always loved your math sculptures but have never gotten around to doing any myself (I was considering doing a sizable Mobius out of Modulex bricks at one point). I'd love to see photographic closeups of the parts that aren't so obviously easily done with unmodified Lego parts. LEGOLAND Billund (and soon, Windsor/Carlsbad) now has a fairly comprehensive selection of transparent bricks for sale in bulk, so 'stained glass' mosaics should now become possible, and relatively affordable. Richard, after reading you webpage in detail, I see you are also considering a 'stained glass' mosaic. I've been collecting trans-bricks for some time as well, but still only have a lot of red (mainly -- about 500 1x1). I hope with the possibility (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)
