Richard, after reading you webpage in detail, I see you are also considering a 'stained glass' mosaic. Very cool mosaic. I really like your technique of making it two studs thick and using 1xlong bricks on the back for structural stability. I recently finished my latest Lego work which is a studs up mosaic of one of Roy Lictensteins paintings "Girl in Mirror" I changed a few things from the original painting including the color of the background from red to blue and giving the girl (...) (23 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic) !
