Are Stubbies™ the end of the articulated minifig legs forever?

I too thought of that!
But then said to myself:
“Oh, don’t worry, the Stubbies™ will only be used in conjuncture with
other small Minifig sets to help us differentiate between adults and children.”
(and this isn’t likely to happen often…)

But then the quandary ~HIT ME!~
What about “Potter,” the children and grown-ups totally intermingle. Will
the Stubbies™ become the new form for Harry, Ron, and Harmony? I doubt it,
but it wouldn’t surprise me if TLG actualized this dim-wittedness.
