The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow

Using parts from the Harry Potter sets (particularly the new 4712 "Troll on the Loose" one) it is now all too easy to construct a Headless Horseman mini-fig. I threw this one together and snapped a few pics using the new camera (combo s-vhsc (...)   Re: Best Minifig Head *EVER*! (Plus 2002 Sets Under The Christmas Tree)

(...) Darn tootin'! He was slated to be a character in my next comic book (an insane ninja assassin) but I'm not sure if I'm going to get a chance to use him any time soon. I absolutely love that facial expression! Plus, those little racers sets are (...) (23 years ago, 28-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.year.2002, lugnet.general)

Best Minifig Head *EVER*! (Plus 2002 Sets Under The Christmas Tree)

OH MY GAWD! Santa was kind enough to leave me a small assortment of 2002 LEGO sets this Christmas (read: I found 'em...I bought 'em...wife can complain all she wants!). I have 4790, 4791, 4792, 4582 and 4585 gracing my desk now. I just have to say (...) (23 years ago, 27-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.year.2002, lugnet.general)

Strange difference in my 2 'Max Villano' minifigs (Adventurers)

Hi all, (Sorry for cross post - not sure if this is an adventurers or a minifig question) I have a strange question... I was looking through my collection of minifigs last night and noticed a strange difference between the 2 'Max Villano' minifigs I (...)   Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) I'll echo that. I was sincerely touched, as were quite a few of my collegues. Thanks for highlighting this post again Hendo. Jonathan NYCNY (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) You most certainly have. I think your image is beautiful, with the original in the background and the sculpture in front. I'm going back to highlight your first post... :) -H. (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) There were two things preventing me from going "over the top": lack of parts; lack of talent ;) One of the great things about Lego is that it allows both for superb details and for gentle simplicity. My greatest concern when I was creating the (...) (23 years ago, 4-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) I hope to have better pictures available by the end of the week. (Here's hoping). Even with the existing picture you can see how simple it would be to create your own version. I had to go searching on BrickBay to get the hats and the torsos (...) (23 years ago, 4-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) You've done incredible work with the amount of detail. Since you're going from the photograph, which places equal detail on the firemen, I don't think I could complain with that. This tragedy places a great strain upon all of us. -- James J. (...) (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

I was expecting this to be "over the top." It wasn't. It is simple and powerful - just like the image. You did a very beautiful job, and in my humble opinion, picked the perfect mini-figure combination. I can't explain it either, but this moved me (...)   Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) SWEET! That's powerful! I hadn't thought of anything like that. I currently have my fire fighters volunteering to build a memorial for lost fire fighters. Josh (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) Not wrong at all, Alan. That picture spoke to me as well - I think it probably has to pretty much everyone. There's something about your creation that I can't describe.. it's so simple but hits the essence of the photograph perfectly. The (...) (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Ground Zero Memorial

Hi folks. I guess it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that ever since I saw the photo it has haunted me. Here is my attempt at dealing with it. (URL) apologies that it's so big (>400 kB).   Re: Jack Stone figs and Minifigs . . .

Hagrid is indeed the same size as the Jack Stoned minifigs and is better made to boot. The Jack Stoned crud has no removable parts to help redeem them in any way, shape, or form. -Dave (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Custom Parts . . .

Has anyone attempted making molds for custom parts for minifigs like hairpieces, helmets, or weaponry? If so could you please point me to some images or let me know what kind of products you've used and had success with I'd appreciate it. After (...)
