  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) You've done incredible work with the amount of detail. Since you're going from the photograph, which places equal detail on the firemen, I don't think I could complain with that. This tragedy places a great strain upon all of us. -- James J. (...) (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

I was expecting this to be "over the top." It wasn't. It is simple and powerful - just like the image. You did a very beautiful job, and in my humble opinion, picked the perfect mini-figure combination. I can't explain it either, but this moved me (...)   Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) SWEET! That's powerful! I hadn't thought of anything like that. I currently have my fire fighters volunteering to build a memorial for lost fire fighters. Josh (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) Not wrong at all, Alan. That picture spoke to me as well - I think it probably has to pretty much everyone. There's something about your creation that I can't describe.. it's so simple but hits the essence of the photograph perfectly. The (...) (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) minifig of a real image. Add in the depth of meaning, and it's beautiful. Thank you. James (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Ground Zero Memorial

Hi folks. I guess it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that ever since I saw the photo it has haunted me. Here is my attempt at dealing with it. (URL) apologies that it's so big (>400 kB). My technical ability at taking and editing digital (...) (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs) !!

Starwars minifig scans posted to Locker99 (finally)

For those looking for reference information (set appearances, etc.) of Starwars minifigs, I've finally go them posted to my Locker99 reference site at: (URL) some old-timers here may know, this site is a kind of supplement/follow-on to the (...)   Re: Minifig sticker generator

Amy, I just recently tried this to visit your web page for your sticker generator, but now, I get a "not found" error message. Did you move your sticker generator? Thanks, Franklin (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Jack Stone figs and Minifigs . . .

Hagrid is indeed the same size as the Jack Stoned minifigs and is better made to boot. The Jack Stoned crud has no removable parts to help redeem them in any way, shape, or form. -Dave (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Custom Parts . . .

Has anyone attempted making molds for custom parts for minifigs like hairpieces, helmets, or weaponry? If so could you please point me to some images or let me know what kind of products you've used and had success with I'd appreciate it. After (...)   Jack Stone figs and Minifigs . . .

I was looking at these Jack Stone figures in a display the other day and was surprised to find that they were much smaller than I imagined. I have not purchased any of these Jack Stone sets yet nor do I intend to but I was wondering are the hat's (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: removing a Minnie head

(...) I tried it also, but I didn't succeed either. It is quite easy to remove the legs from Mickey, the black pin has to be pushed out and the legs are separated from the body. Looking inside the body it looks like the arms can't be removed. It (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.fabuland)

  Re: mini Fabfigs & Elvis

(...) Pop, pop... Aha, cool! Something else to try - a Fabuland head looks decent on Hagrid's body. Also, Hagrid's head and hair looks decent on a Fabuland body. Ok, looks like I'll be in the market for a few more Fabuland figs. Frank (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.fabuland)

  Re: mini Fabfigs & Elvis

(...) The white cat head was the one without a body and a neck broken off level with the head. The beige rabbit head came off easily without even popping the neck from the body, so all parts are in perfect condition and the figure can be (...)   Re: mini Fabfigs & Elvis

(...) I know one of the Fabuland heads you sacrificed was already busted, did you find some more busted ones, or did you sacrifice some of your more "floppy" heads? I'm really considering doing a few of these mods. Frank (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.fabuland)

Re: What do YOU do with face-less heads?

(...) I eat them… I take them like vitamins… They provide me with my daily ABS supplement! Yummy, --==Richard==-- (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: What do YOU do with face-less heads?

(...) I do like George's post showing these used as pillars, but you would need a number of them for that. I have only a few of these (a small handful from the pre-minifig era, and then two or three from circa 1980 where the smileys wiped off from (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: What do YOU do with face-less heads?

(...) I can't speak for the yellow ones but the black (and grey) faceless ones are quite useful to trainiacs. I use 2 black heads in each dummy truck (simulated power truck) I make. And since 3 of my MTW models use at least one dummy truck, I use a (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: What do YOU do with face-less heads?

(...) Look good, I was debating just last night what to do with all my blank black heads from my Siths, now I am sure of it, columns. Looks like a neat little town, I'll have to check out some of the other pictures. I like what you used for the (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.build.arch)
