Wow this is a great utility I used MGI photosuite to print the stickers and they came out fine. Any Chance on putting up some armor patterns? :-) -Cj Catuogno- (23 years ago, 6-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Minifig sticker generator

I did have the image in a graphics program, that's how I found out the images were 213x180 pixels, but the images still printed out too big. Adam (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Minifig sticker generator

(...) I think your browser is trying to print the image the same size it appears on screen, and it's assuming your screen is 72 or 100 dpi. The images were designed to print at 360 dpi, so your browser will print them 4-5 times too large. If you (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Minifig sticker generator

My computer shows that the resolution of the images are 213x180 pixels, but they still print huge for me, at about 2 inches by 2 inches. Would the resolution I'm running my computer at have anything to do with that? Or my printer, I couldn't find (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Minifig sticker generator

(...) They should be 1/2" tall. They're sized to scale well on printers with resolution multiples of 360 dpi, which would be all epson inkjets. The images are 213x180 pixels. Web browsers won't give you control over scaling, so you'll likely have (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Minifig sticker generator

They print out way too big on my computer to fit a minifig. Has anyone else had this problem? What's a good size to resize the picture to? Adam (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Amy Hughes wrote in message ... (...) need (...) Thanks Amy! It prints now, both from the browser and when I save the file as a GIF, from Corel Paint. The browser prints a single sticker about 2" square, though, and I can't see a place to tell it to (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Minifig sticker generator

(...) Thanks. (...) I'd need GIF images sized to 213x180 pixels with very simple color schemes. For example, a tie should be all one color, and not the many similar-but-not-exact colors that a JPG-to-GIF conversion or a scan of a photo would have. (...) (...) I've fixed this now. Please let me know if it's working for you, and if you need to do anything special to get them to print the right size. Amy (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Minifig sticker generator

(...) [Snip] (...) Sounds like you are just saving a link to it. If you right click on the picture and select "Save Picture As..." it should work, it does for me. BTW. Very cool utility, any chance of giving out the information on what to supply to (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Minifig sticker generator

(...) I have more info now. You can save the individual images from the setup page (including the ones you've changed, which *are* dynamically-generated). I think what's happening is that images generated by sending data via the POST method on a (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Minifig sticker generator

(...) Ugh. Netscape does this, too. Seems they aren't able to save dynamically- generated images. I can't test the printing since I don't have my printer connected now, but I suspect it'll fail, too. A solution isn't volunteering itself tonight, so (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) That's a great idea, Amy! And it's really easy to use, to boot. Now I HAVE to try printing some out. :) (runs off to print himself up a half dozen "Men in Black" - and 1 Mr. Rogers) Joel J (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Minifig sticker generator

I've created a program that'll create minifig clothing stickers in any color combination you'd like... (URL) let me know if it's useful, and if getting them to print the proper size turns out to be a problem. I only have the suit-n-tie pattern right (...)   Re: Suits for your minifigs

(...) Cool! Now if I could find someone who has (or learn to do it myself) made an approximation of the female torso from the Studio set. There aren't enough decidedly female torsos to begin with, but I can't see spending $150 when that's primarily (...) (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.town)

  Re: Suits for your minifigs

(...) Thanks. Yesterday I wrote a program that'll allow the user to generate a GIF with any number of stickers in any color combination, every other one upside down for maximum density, for printing at 360 dpi on 8 1/2 x 11 label sheets (8x10 print (...)
