(...) These customised minifigs were made by the German AFOL Jojo -well known to frequent visitors of 1000steine.de. He stated that the hats were made out of paper and the vests are made of cloth. (...) Look carefully at the edge of some of the coats - very thin. Probably paper or some kind of material. Others possibly could be plastic "clay" (Sculpey and the like). (...) Toothpaste seems to work also. Supposedly Tarter Control Toothpaste has more abrasive in it so it works better, I still have some work to finish one the one soccer fig I am removing the '1' from the back of. Thanks for pointing those out Bruce. Some of the hats and vests had the same "shine" as the ABS. Do you think the creator did some plastic molding type of work? Those are some pretty incredible designs. Markus (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.minifigs)
