Hi Everyone,
I have been trying to take off some of the print on some of my minifigs to try
and put my own custom logo on them. i have tried the many ways some people
here on lugnet have suggested and here are the results....
1.X-acto knife- I tried using an x-acto knife on an old fireman torso to get
an all black torso i succesfully removed all of the print but i was
dissapointed to find a bunch of icky streaks where the print used to be so I
didnt use that method anymore.

Well, the Xacto does leave marks. It's probably most useful for small,
detailed removals and not total-print remover. (For example, for taking off a
microphone off the Jet face the Xacto is excellent.)

Does anyone have any less messy methods to removes the print??

Brasso works well when you wanna remove ALL print off one part. For other
details search keyword 'Brasso' from the lugnet homepage.

HTH,
Shiri

(...) try (...) I've had good results taking a small metal nail file to minifigs and plates. Unless you're touching the pieces or looking *real* close, you don't notice the alterations... (25 years ago, 20-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)
