Darn!  I was just about to post first!  Well, then I'll be second;).  Did • you
know the digger arm holder 1x2 brick
(www.lugnet.com/pause/search/?query=5390-1, attached to digger arm and • bucket)
can hold minifig arms?  You could use this to make fat men!

Heh, they just look stalky or barrel-chested to me.

Would you still be able to stick legs on it if
you
had arms put into it though?  Those arm-pins would probably get in the way.

No it works fine! I just did that after reading this thread and thinking that
my space hangar could use a new droid. The tall hip studs just make the
bottoms of the side sockets, which means while you can see the hip studs
inside through the empty "arm" sockets, they don't interfere with the arms
while in the sockets. Arms come off kinda easily tho as you might guess cuz
the socket hole isn't really designed for them.

In fact, if you stick in legs, then a single-stud 1x2 plate on top of the 1x2,
and a minifig head, the figure is exactly the same height as a regular bald
minifig. The only differences are, no slightly trapezoidal torso, the arms are
positioned a little lower, and the hands don't touch its head when the arms
are fully raised.

I
had pondered putting a second set of armholes farther down on one or two of my
'figs so I could have four-armed aliens or whatever, but then I figured out
that
I wouldn't be able to use normal leg pieces.  Bummer.

Try again. And if you leave off the single stud 1x2 plate, you can make a two-
headed alien too, droid, cyborg, whatever, with 1x1 round bricks instead of
using regular minifig heads.

when replying, that big rolling cave ball in that Indiana Jones movie was made
of spamcake.
