To follow up on my earlier post, I’ve continued to work on a Batgirl theme. I’ve now finished four custom minifigs based on the character designs of other participants in the meme. As before, go here to see the master list.

First, here’s my take on Andi Watson’s design for a “Japanese” version of Batgirl: front, rear and 3/4 view.

Batgirl-san’s a highschool student when out of costume, though, so here she is in her school uniform: front, rear and 3/4 view.

I’ve tried to follow Watson’s simple yet elegant aesthetic, and have avoided the doing the shading and visual modelling I’d normally use on a minifig. The effect of this shows most clearly on the scarf of Batgirl-san’s school uniform, which is quite stylized in the original.

The next figure is based on a design by Dean Trippe: front, rear and 3/4 view. I think I’ve caught the look of this one rather well. :)

Finally, I’ve recreated a design by Sean Esty: front, rear and 3/4 view. This figure could really use a more heavily customized hair piece and some sort of representation of the “hood” part of her cape, but I think I’ve still captured the essence of the design. If I ever do more with this figure and further modify the hair that I’ll probably repaint the finished element an Earth Orange colour instead of the present Medium Orange.

So, what do you think? Should I do more? I must admit, that this design is just begging to be reproduced, as is this and this... :)

Thanks for reading.
