  Armor!

Hey guys, I don't believe too many people have seen this: (URL) Thanks Jojo, this is a good illustration of what is wrong with the new mulit-color castle body armor! But then, you can always use Bruce’s solution: (URL) what i did... !Later, (...) (20 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Custom Greek Hoplites

Dear all, This is somewhat of a belated announcement. But in case you don't know, all of my new items (from custom beards to Greek Corinthian stuffs) are now being showcased on (URL) my website>. There are also a bunch of new, historical custom (...) (20 years ago, 20-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.parts.custom, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

Re: Does Cap'n Ahab have a vertical, orange stripe?

(...) Maybe other minifigs have been using his head as an orange juicer. It's enough to turn anyone to a life of crime. (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Does Cap'n Ahab have a vertical, orange stripe?

(...) I bought two of these sets and my Capt figs also have the orange stripe. When I first saw it, immediately I thought, hmmmmmm must be a misprint. Even when I use my imagination to the best of its ability, I refuse to considered it a scar. (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Does Cap'n Ahab have a vertical, orange stripe?

Hello! (...) It's Captain Ahab after all. He is meant to have a scarface. I suppose the orange stripe is there on purpose. Bye Jojo (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Does Cap'n Ahab have a vertical, orange stripe?

Out of this set <set:7045 "Hovercraft Hideout">, this minifig head ("(URL) had a vertical, orange stripe running down its left (i.e., "dexter") side. So, I called LEGO Consumer Affairs and let them know what was wrong ("He's got an extremely (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  It's a bird, it's a plane, it's . . .

Superman! (2 URLs) Christopher Reeve played a hero on screen but was even more heroic in his life. Here's my little tribute. I can't take any credit for the fig design, BTW. I've seen others use that exact same combination. Bruce (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX) !!

  Re: Rodney Dangerfield, 1921-2004

(...) Yep, those are correct. BTW, you can't tell in this pic, but that's Peter Parker and Mary Jane from 4851 enjoying the show. Bruce (20 years ago, 8-Oct-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

  Re: Rodney Dangerfield, 1921-2004

(...) The head comes from 1381, Vampire Crypt, and the torso comes from 4851, Origins (I just got this set the other day). Rich (20 years ago, 8-Oct-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

Continuing in the theme of brick memorials, here's our favorite unrespected comedian: (URL) With my old man I got no respect. I asked him, "How can I get my kite in the air?" He told me to run off a cliff. Bruce (20 years ago, 7-Oct-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX) !

Re: Help needed: my custom beards

Hi Isaac, I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my question! (...) Well, at the risk of being "one of those people", I'll start by saying there are lots of injection molding houses that will bid on work online (assuming you had CAD files of (...)   Re: Help needed: my custom beards

(...) Hi Darrell, I suppose you already know that the cost of a metallic mould can vary depending on the complexity of the shape of the objects, but at the very least it'll still put you back by a few thousands US$, right? Well, anyway, I won't tell (...) (20 years ago, 19-Sep-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.parts.custom, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

Re: Help needed: my custom beards

(...) Hi Bruce, Although I am sure Darrell would be in a better position to answer this than me, I'll try anyway. From what I can gathered, I think the rapid prototyping which Darrell was talking about, is NOT the same method which Jeff uses to (...)   Re: Help needed: my custom beards

(...) I'm curious about the rapid prototyping. Little Armory (URL) made items in the past by hand making a master. But a new round of items is coming that I had suspected where being designed via some form of CAD and then mastered via something that (...)   Re: Help needed: my custom beards

(...) Big Ben Bricks LLC seems to have done well enough with their first wheel product to introduce additional ones. (uninformed speculation as to how they are doing financially, not my business) Little Armory seems to be doing VERY well with their (...) (...) Do you remember what the machine looked like? Check out my Brickshelf folder for pictures of two I've used.   Re: As seen on eBay...

(...) That is sooooo funny! When I saw a picture of a real life occurance of the same thing, it was gross, but when it's done in LEGO, it's hilarious. (20 years ago, 18-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

  As seen on eBay...

Hello! (URL) me, I'm a link!>> Bye Jojo (URL) P.S. I've created this some weeks or even monts ago and only now found it again. Just thought I'd post something to this minifigs-newsgroup. (20 years ago, 17-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)
