Writing a letter to LEGO really can make a difference. Lest year I wanted
to make a Christmas Tree farm MOC. I would use the 2 sizes of pine trees for
the fully and half grown trees, and then I planned to use 1X1 green cones for
the baby tree sapplings. I looked in my collection but didn't find any 1X1
cones in green. I looked on Peeron.com, and found that the 1X1 cone had NEVER
been made in green.
I wrote a letter to LEGO explaining that they should make some sets with 1X1
green cones for the sakes of baby Christmas trees. They sent me a letter back
saying that they can't take ideas from LEGO Maniacs. However, in the beginning
of 2003, what should appear on toy store shelves across the world? Designer
sets, 1 of which has 1X1 green cones! Coincidence? I think not.

| Thanks for the response. I'm afraid I can't say that it's what I really wanted to hear, though. It's like, you spend your whole life working hard, being honest, you refrain from stealing, act nice to old people, and at the end of the day, what do (...)
