Hello everyone!

I will also be displaying the prototype models of a new series of highly
detailed WW2 armoured vehicles.  These include Humbar scout car and Matilida
II tank (UK), M4A4 "Jumbo" Sherman tank, and M10 Wolverine Tank Destroyer
(US), T-34/85 tank (USSR), PzKpfw III tank (with StuG III Assault Gun
alternative model), PzKpfw VI Tiger Ausf E, and SdKfz 124 Wespe SP howitzer

HOLY CRIPES!  Ugh, I'm drooling puddles over here!  One might hope that some of
your bretheren over in .build.military might get some sneak peeks at these,
*especially* us poor hapless souls who won't be going to Brickswest ;)  If
that's not a subtle hint, then it's a blatant one :P

I actually just finished a version of the Pz VI Tiger tank the other week.  It
was, surprisingly, a very fast build for me - it took me about two weeks of
construction to finalize the design (and the rest of the time has been simply
getting ahold of some random pieces in the correct color.  In addition to its
quick development, it also has the unusual (for me, at least) characteristic of
utilizing only currently and commonly available pieces - this wasn't an intent,
just an unexpected result.  I was thinking of possibly putting some kits
together myself as well ... hmmm, maybe not, you seem to have it covered!  But
you *do* have to let us see!

Anyway, I haven't taken a regular patented "On the Sullivans' Kitchen Table"
photo shoot yet, but I do have a couple shots from our last WWII Brikwars game
(more photos and summary of the game forthcoming):

(Thanks to Craig Agricola for the pictures)

It's got 5 working hatches (2 on top of the turret, one on the side of the
turret, and one each for the driver and radioman/gunner), 360 degree turret
rotation, gun elevation/depression, functional storage boxes on the back of the
turret, fits a full crew of five in a detailed interior, and comes apart in
easy (but sturdy!) sections for access: the roof of the turret comes off, the
turret itself comes out, and the roof of the chassis comes off as well.  The
color scheme is definitely a departure for me ... but with nearly all my grey
in use, I had to opt for the East Front Winter design - which I have to say I'm
really pleased with.  I do believe all of the pieces are easily attainable in
grey though, and I would *love* to see it in tan, brown, and dark grey (*more
drool*).

Anyway, can't wait for the pictures, Dan!  ;)  And good luck with the
Brickswest presentation - I definitely wish I could be there.  Anyone know if
there's plans for a live webcam with sound?

(...) We have winter here so a white Tiger is needed. I hope we don't have to wait long for kitchen table photos. Now Tosiakis white Pz IV must keep the enemy away until this powerful reinforcement arrives. Regards Mattias (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.military)
