Thank you also to Lindsay Frederick Braun for offering to post my pictures.
I hope your masterpiece Friedrich der Grosse is not afraid of my destroyer
torpedoes :)

Torpedoes?  Did someone say torpedoes?  Why, uh, no...

(Quick!  Battle turn away!  Battle turn away!  MAXIMUM TURN!  EEEEEK)

In fact, now that you mention it, it's worth saying that in fact
a threatened destroyer torpedo attack is what caused the German
fleet to break off at Jutland...so yes, yes, I'm very afraid.
Fortunately there's a safe 24 years between the end of my ship
   and the first Fletcher.  :)

I can't wait to see your photos, Mattias!  (I've been wanting
to see someone tackle those 40s for some time.)

   best

(...) Thank you Dan for the advice! I didn't know it was so easy to register to www.brickshelf.com: Today I have turned in a film for development. So if everything goes according to plan the pictures of the USS Fletcher will be up to the weekend. (...) (23 years ago, 5-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)
