That looks great, but it whets my appetite for a minfig scale P-38.

Thanks, I've been mulling over a P-38, and toying with ideas for the
difficult rounded shapes, such as the cockpit and the tail, and I have some
ideas, but it will be quite a while before (if ever) I get it done, the spit
is taking a rather long time, ;-D
